The purpose of this medium range product is to simply identify forecast pressure centers and precipitation types. Essentially IF some type of precipitation is generally thought to have the ability to fall within a 6 hour window, ending at the valid time, what type of precipitation is forecast to occur. This is a generalized product designed for longer range outlooks. Imagine if you will within each 6 hour interval, is it possible that more than one type of precipitation will fall? This product has forecast intervals of 6 hours out to 180 (7.5 days) hours so it may 'seem' faster than some of our other products. Adjust the speed to your preferences below.
